Environmental Day at the Dam - CatholicCare NT

Wednesday 5 June 2024 was 'Environmental Day' and Francis Storey from our Tennant Creek office organised a day at the Dam with The Indi Kindi program.

The idea was a nature day and taking in the land we walk on, and how we can do what we can to look after our land. We also talked about climate action change in line with our CatholicCare NT Climate Action Plan.

A few children attended and Aunty Pat Braun brought along some Elders and they enjoyed the day until the cool Barkly Breeze became too cold.

The day was spent around the fire cooking kangaroo tails and a little nature walk, chicken and salad wraps with lots of fruit.

Overall it was a beautiful day and everyone enjoyed it.
