Tabitha is strongly committed to and passionately believes in social justice, community development and social enterprise. Over the past 25 years she has gained a knowledge and understanding of the principles, philosophies and processes associated with the provision of human services, working across a number of areas, from homelessness, early childhood, disability and child protection in both Government and Non-Government Organisations.
Tabitha joined the CatholicCare NT Team as the Regional Manager in November 2017 where she is able to work with a remarkable team of dedicated and enthusiastic people to tackle social issues and build individual and Community capacity.
Tabitha holds a Bachelor of Social Work from UNSW and in 2007 through the Leaders Institute of SA completed the Governor’s Leadership Program. One of her proudest achievements was winning a National Award for Reconciliation for the work she has done with the Lajamanu Crèche.
In awe of the uniqueness, diversity, challenges and remoteness of working in Katherine Tabitha can’t imagine living anywhere else and is looking forward to seeing what the future holds and what opportunities may arise.
