Steven Lendrum is a member of CatholicCare NT’s Executive team in his position as General Manager Operations. He came to CatholicCare NT in 2010 with 20 years’ experience in counselling, group facilitation and somatic (mindbody) integration.
Steven ran a successful counselling service in Sydney. He ran a variety of groups that drew on relational, psychological and body-oriented principles to support wellbeing. He is an advocate for cultivating secure attachment and developing emotional regulation skills in adults and children. He has worked as an educator, teaching counselling skills, for the Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP) and for the Centre for Community Welfare Training (CCWT). He was the President of the Australian Somatic Integration Association for 4 years.
In his role as General Manager Operations, Steven’s expertise is utilised to support participant outcomes such as increased family safety and improved family functioning and wellbeing. He is responsible for a portfolio of contracts including Family and Relationship Counselling and Groups, Men’s Behaviour Change, No More, Crime Victims, Children’s Contact Services, Parenting, Intensive Family Support, Supporting Children after Separation, Early Childhood Education and Care, Aged Care Advocacy, Financial Wellbeing and Capability, Housing Support, Alcohol and Other Drugs and Mental Health.
Steven holds a Graduate Diploma of Psychotherapy, a Graduate Certificate of Adult Education (Training) and a Diploma of Human Resources Management.
