Margi came to CatholicCare NT in 2007, after working in the out-of-home care sector with children and young people. Her strong training background led her to developing a range of in-house programs to support staff learning and development needs, and it wasn’t long before she added Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), safeTALK, Mental Health First Aid and Youth Mental Health First Aid to her training portfolio.
Margi completed her Master of Counselling degree and her BA (Hons) in Psychology while working with CatholicCare NT. She is currently working towards completion of her Master of Professional Psychology degree.
Margi has also completed studies in Anthropology, Sociology, Alcohol and Other Drugs, Work Health and Safety, Teaching English as a Second Language, Cultural Competency, Career Development, Mandatory Reporting, Domestic and Family Violence, and Diplomas of Vocational Assessment and Training, and Training Design and Development.
Margi’s keen interest in supporting the clients and staff of CatholicCare NT to achieve their goals is reflected in her membership of the Leadership Team. She oversees the client services database, CSnet®, and regularly reviews policies and procedures to support the evolving needs of the organisation. Margi has recently taken on a new challenge as Evaluation Systems Manager, and is focusing on systems integration, qualitative and quantitative evaluation methodologies, and the development of a responsive evaluation and impact measurement framework. Margi is proud to be working with a values-based organisation, which places respect, honesty, fairness, courage and connection at the heart of everything we do.
