Ivone Byrne - CatholicCare NT

Ivone Byrne commenced as the CatholicCare NT Early Childhood and Education Care Manager early 2022. Ivone is a long term Territorian and has worked in Child Care for over 25 years.

One of Ivone’s strongest assets is strength in the building of open and trusting relationships with families, and the ability to build a strong team of dedicated educators to provide a high standard of care. She is inspired by and believes in a play based approach with young children as it allows children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, and physical, cognitive, and emotional strength. Play is important to healthy brain development. It is through play that children at a very early age engage and interact in the world around them.

Ivone is a mother of two adult children and loves camping, travelling and spending time with her family and two Cavalier dogs.

Her qualifications include Early Childhood Degree and meets the Early Childhood Teacher requirements of ACECQA. Other relevant certificates are Diploma in Children’s Services and Certificate 3 in Children Services.
